Lavin will talk about how to advocate for all aspects of improved mobility from protected bike lanes to more useful transit.

Meet our speaker

If the name Carter Lavin sounds familiar, he’s also active with the semi-guerilla San Francisco Bay Area Bench Collective. He headed up the July workshop in Petaluma that resulted in a dozen new public benches being assembled and installed around town. The bench effort was an outgrowth of a concern that bus riders, who are often older or in ill health, need more bus stop benches than are available.

The book will be a chance to hear Lavin talk about the origins of his mobility advocacy.
