How StrongTowns Views Land Use and Municipal Financial Sustainability

Not Just Bikes is a YouTube channel run by Canadian-Dutch content creator Jason Slaughter. The channel examines urbanist issues and contrasts the transportation, infrastructure, and built environment of the Netherlands and other countries to those of the United States and Canada. (Partial credit to Wikipedia.)

As Slaughter studied his topics, he found he aligned with the thinking of Minnesota nonprofit StrongTowns.  With the participation of StrongTowns, he prepared a series of short videos about the thinking of the nonprofit.

Know Before You Grow will show the first three videos, totaling about 15 minutes.  Between the videos and afterwards, Q&A will be opened and shared thoughts will be encouraged.

The financial sustainability of Petaluma is a topic of frequent local interest.  Urban Chat has a committee looking closely at local finances through various lenses, including one created by StrongTowns.  If this topic interests you, you should take part.
